Playing rules as per official netball rules (IFNA 2016)

Prior to the start of the league each player must complete their individual player form and send as a club to the treasurer via email (photo is fine).

Prior to the start of the league, teams must complete their team list with the player’s full names and positions in the green file, stating only one playing position.

A team sheet will be provided in the file in the league bag which teams need to complete fully at the end of every game, recording borrowed players, POM and the final score

Each team must supply a scorer for the game before/after. The scorers must also time the game and change the scoreboard. Time of game, final score & scorers names to be put on the scorecard

Once fixtures have been circulated, teams cannot decide or agree between themselves or change them. Any games which may need to be changed must be discussed and agreed by the league committee (chair, treasurer & secretary)

Clubs must supply 2 up to date contact emails and mobile numbers for each of their teams to the secretary/ It is the team’s responsibility to inform the league of any changes to contacts

Each team must provide their own first aid items

Each team must provide a suitable standard match ball (size 5) There will also be a match ball to use that is kept at the centre with the files.

Each team must provide an umpire for the game before/ after which will be paid £10 by one of the teams they are umpiring

Borrowed players: each team may borrow up to 2 players in an emergency to make their team up to 7 players. This is allowed twice in each round with no penalty. If players are borrowed in more than 2 games per season, 3 points will be deducted for each player borrowed. Borrowed players cannot be chosen as “player of the match”

If a player is no longer able to play for the rest of the season, there will be no refund of fees

Playing areas must be adhered to, a 3-point deduction will be made if rule is not followed correctly
Players can play the following positions if borrowed
GK – WA, C, GA, GS
GD – WA, C, GS, GA
GA- WD, C, GK, GD
GS – WD, C, GD, GK
WD – GA, GS, C, WA
WA – GD, GK, C, WD
C – GA, GS, GK, GD, WD
14. Points will be deducted for
- Borrowing more than 2 players per round – 3 point per player
-Not providing an umpire – 6 points
- Not providing a scorer – 1 point
- Cancelling a game with less than 6 days’ notice – 5 points
15. Scoring points
- win: 5 points
- Draw: 3 points
- Losing team within half of the winning teams score: 2 points
- Loss: 1 point
16. Where teams are tied on points at the end of the season goal average will be used to determine the placings as per Welsh Netball Rules
17. Games are to be 12 mins per quarter with a 2 min rest following each quarter. Umpires must ensure that the time adhered to, to avoid game running over affecting the 8pm games.
18. Verbal abuse and aggression towards a player or official will not be tolerated by the league and dealt with appropriately
19. Any issues not covered by the League Rules will be decided upon by the committee
